Vegetable Tanned Leathers

Traditionally Leather was always tanned utilising natural tannin elements commonly found in Oak and Mimosa barks, an unchanged process of tanning leather as old as early mankind itself. 

Superior European sourced shoulder hides; both thicker in substance and smaller in size than a modern large upholstery hides; is tanned in time-consuming methods using pits, drums, dyes and fat liquors. 

 

This lengthy process is both inherently natural and environmentally safer, the quality however of a 'veg-tanned' hide and the deep patina it receives with use is what a true leather connoisseur will be looking for and appreciate.
