Leather Returns Proceedure

Thank you for choosing an Ed Tanner Leather product

If, on receipt of the delivery the leather proves to be defective or damaged in any way, you should immediately and within 5 days of receiving the merchandise contact our Customer Service:

1. In order to be able to process the matter and issue a Return Authorisation we require the following information:

• The reason why you wish to return the goods. 

• Please be specific as possible, e.g. colour differences, scratches, looseness, etc. 

• Ed Tanner's order number and/or invoice number. 

• The product name, item number, grade. 

• Quantity: number of hides and/or m2 

 

2. If your claim is such that we accept the return of the leather, you will receive a Return Authorisation by email.

 

• This Document will include: 

• Return Authorisation number- this must always be specified on your return shipment. 

• (It is Ok to attach a copy of the Return Authorisation to your return) 

• Packaging Instructions- These must be followed in full! We will not accept the return of hides that are damaged or creased as a result of incorrect packaging. Such hides will be sent back to you and the cost of freight will be charged. 

• The Method of Shipment that you use. 

• The Return Authorisation is good for 30 days after issuance. 

• The authorisation will be cancelled if your return has not been received by Ed Tanner Ltd within this time. 

 

3. We do not accept returns of: 

 

• Hides that have been completely or partly cut or punched. 

• Hides that have been marked on either side with chalk. 

• Hides on which our markings/ labels have been deleted, changed or damaged in any other manner. Such hides will be sent back to you and the cost of freight will be charged. 

 

 

4. Normally we will not accept the return of non-defective merchandise (e.g. purchase of 'wrong' colour). We will charge our handling costs and deduct that on a credit note along with any freight costs.
